Chicago-Kent College of Law wins the Midwest Moot Court Competition for the fourth consecutive year
Third-year students Jocelyn Floyd and Maris Mapolski won the 2009 Appellate Lawyers Association Midwest Moot Court Competition held November 6 and 7 in Chicago, marking Chicago-Kent's fourth consecutive win in the ALA Competition and the third straight year Chicago-Kent competitors have swept the top brief and oral argument prizes. The Chicago-Kent chapter of the Order of the Coif inducted 30 new members during award ceremonies at the Hotel Allegro on October 23. Scott M. Matheson, Jr., wins 2009 Chicago-Kent College of Law/Roy C. Palmer Civil Liberties Prize
Presidential Constitutionalism in Perilous Times by University of Utah professor Scott M. Matheson, Jr., has won the 2009 Chicago-Kent College of Law/Roy C. Palmer Civil Liberties Prize. The prize recognizes an exemplary work of scholarship exploring the tension between civil liberties and national security in contemporary American society.
